Thanks to all of you who took part in
our biannual photo contest. I'm always surprised and pleased that so
many of you participate.

The winner with the most votes is
Quercus garryana. Mr. M. was randomly selected from those of you who
chose the oak, and he will receive his photo directly from Plywerk
company. Allow two or three weeks, and thank you for your interest in
the Flora Wonder Blog.
My favorite was the trunk photo of
Larix laricina with a Casper-the-ghost face. This was an attractive
bonsai specimen at the Pacific Rim Bonsai Collection housed next to
the Rhododendron Species Foundation in Federal Way, Washington. You
obviously didn't think so because it didn't receive any votes.
Thanks again for participating.
Hi Talon,
ReplyDeleteThe Larix larcina was one of my top three choices. It is difficult to choose the best from so many wonderful photos. I look forward to the next contest.
